Anyone here go to the loop lounge in passaic?

been there a few times, although not in a long time.  Its a cool place.  Connections is right around the corner from the Loop, I usually go there, just cuz thats where the bands I want to see usually are.  anyone wanna check out the turnpike wrecks, and hub city stompers, they will be at connections this saturday March 12th.

80's night on saturdats are always a good time.  hey lush? you ever see a band riverbottom?

nope.  what do they play?  are they outta north jersey?  turnpike wrecks (punk/oi) i like cuz my hubby is the bass player, and i've become really good friends w/ the rest of the band.  i love hub city stompers, cuz they just rock.  they do like reggae/ska music.  then there are the skels, irish pub rock.  my 3 favorite local bands.  other than that, there arent really many other bands I go out to see.  but unless theres a decent band playing w/ any of these 3, oh darkbuster from boston is good too.  they come down to jersey sometimes.

i have been to the loop lounge once for their 80's night. i thought it was a great crowd. it wasnt the typical group of youngens trying to dress up all punk rock/80s; the age range was pretty wide which made it more interesting.  but who am i to call anyone a youngen?

Yeah Loop lounge is fun on Saturday nights... if your into live bands then Friday nights is the night for you... but Saturday night 80's night is fun as hell!

The 80's night is so unreal because the DJ's are from the fucking 80's.  If you're into alt rock, there's no place like the loop anywhere in NJ to get schooled in rock history.  NIN played there in '88 or '89.  Ted Wrigley knows how to get people dancing. 

And they play tons of new shit.  If the adjectives Alternative, INdie, and/or punk set off any bells for you, check this place out.  Its an institution.

But I cleaned glasses there for two years, so maybe i'm a little biased.

well i work there so i can't comment     who the hell am i kidding? Fridays is where you'll see great ORIGINAL bands (you know the ones that play thier own music and not sound like the radio) on Fridays.
Saturdays are the bomb as well on their 80's night. I love the comment above saying where the d.j.'s are actually from the 80's and i'd like to add that the d.j's weren't BORN in the 80's LOL
