What type of bar do you like?

there is a new bar in riverdale on rt 23 north, called Dexter's, right in the same lot as Rupperts and Golds gym.. the place just opened up a few weeks ago and is already popular, through word of mouth only... they have not advertised yet, or had a Grand Opening, (they are waiting to have the kitchen ready before announcing their grand opening) so there is never a cover charge to get in.. the place is amazing inside.. 2 rooms, one a laid back bar and lounge, the other a more club-esque atmosphere with a huge dancefloor, couches wall to wall, and a separate bar in that room. the dining area has booths with flat tvs in each one, and a big bar. the place is sick, and is guaranteed to get better every week.

A buddy of mine checked it out and told me they really get you on the prices. Supposedly its a good place, but beings that the price is a Killer and Riverdales kinda honky tonk .. i doubt i will be heading out there.

The best type of bar has live music, a smoking area and bartenders that do BUY-BACKS!

Yeah dude, Buy-backs is the key. I mean some places where its crowded I don’t really expect buy-backs for obvious reasons ( and it reflects in the tip ) but you know in a place that’s average you should get thrown a shot or something after 3 or 4 ... something like that.

Live music is always hit or miss, but you know, after like 3 or 4 drinks you start to get into the groove. Fuck man, its Friday and about time for me to go out and get housed! I think I might check out that Dexter’s place ... seems like the new hot spot (at least for the next couple weeks till something else opens up)

a beach bar.. somthing with sand under my feet... and live music.. but locally I like something that has a good jukebox if there is not a band playing.

 I like a place that's not too noisy, has good music, women I can possibly meet, strong drinks, a comfortable atmosphere, and lots of room to hold court. I'm not worried about food in a club because that's what diners are for.
