Somebody please help me out with something.  It seems that everywhere I go, I meet the same old people with the same old goals.  No offense to anybody in particular but it seems like I go to different bars and I'm meeting the same shallow girls who are caked in makeup.  I really honest to God wouldn't mind for once meeting a nice girl who is down to earth and isn't so self conscious about her looks.  I'm not about looks anyway.  Don't get me wrong, there has to be a physical attraction but I'm more about natural beauties.  Am I askin too much or are there actually women out there who meet these standards?  I appreciate the feedback.  And don't be afraid to tell me if I'm being ridiculous.  Thanks a lot.

you're not being ridiculous at all. I know exactly what you're talking about...I hate girls that feel the need to impress everyone when they go out...I'm sorry but I go out to have a good time with my friends, not to try and pick up a boyfriend. But apparently I'm a dying breed in my species...

maybe you're just not going to the right bars. Are you checking out the little sports bars in small towns? I don't know where you're from, but I know I love McQs in Randolph, Ringside Pub in Caldwell and my favorite is probably Johnny's in Boonton.

Them girls wearing Jeans and a smile...... Grin

Hmmm......You should stay away from the shore, Hoboken and Morristown, however the spots you are looking for do exist.

There's Murphy's in Dover to start, the thirsty Moose in ? (Lk Hopatcong), The Landmark in Livingston etc. Look at the cars in the parking lots, sounds like youre looking for Trucks rather than Beamers.

Btw I'm feelin ya, but the nicest and most chill girls are from rural areas like Sussex, Warren and Hunterdon counties.

Ringside Pub in Caldwell is a cool place.  O'Neils in North Arlington comes to mind as well.

Or go to the city.  Jersey bars are great if you just want to get wasted, want to go dancing, or want to see some decent cover bands.  Socially though, its hard to find good ones. They exist, but are far less common.

The city has tons of great bars for socializing if its a convenient option for you.  Pub Crawls in the city are an EXCELLENT way to meet girls/guys.  They draw tons of people, 90% of which are looking to meet people.  www.lindypromo.com is a good website, they organize tons of great pub crawls.

Or, if you don't feel like doing that, just hit up some bars.   I could probably rattle of a list of 10-20 bars in Manhattan that are good for meeting people at.  Its a different scene at most of the bars there that I have yet to find the equivelent of in Jersey.  True, its a bit of a hassle to get home usually (PATH trains run slow as hell at night), but if you are having a good time, getting home at sunrise shouldn't be an issue.
