After living here for my whole life and traveling to many other parts of the country, I can safely say that "Jersey girls" are the meanest, most spoiled, heartless lowlifes I've ever seen. The only things they care about are money and who can spoil them the most. Gee, so sorry I don't make $100,000 a year right out of college.....so sorry I don't drive a brand new Porsche....so sorry I'm not a poser and instead I stay true to what I believe in. Go anywhere else in America and you'll find real women who know how to treat another human being. Stay in New Jersey and find a "Jersey girl" and you'll get just that.....a girl, who is most likely in serious need of a reality check (and probably a Giants bandwagon fan......uggggggh......at least pretend to like a team that doesn't suck as much as the Giants do). Yeah, they all say they want a nice guy who will treat them right, but then how come they turn around and go for the scumbag who will abuse them. Hmmmmm, makes me think that maybe "Jersey girls" like to be hurt and abused.
Oh, and just for the record....Bon Jovi is a sellout who hasn't made a good record since 1985 (7800 Farenheit)

Well lets see! You only get out of life what you put into it. So maybe MR. Axl Van Pearcy
Your not putting much into this other than thought? You cant pass judgment about a matter that really is pretty broad . Jersey girls huh. No two girls are the same ever. And maybe your just chasing the girls and not the women. I know my girl is great and down to earth, kind hearted and I know (“she’s a jersey girl”) I treat her good so maybe the validity of your argument is questionable. And what do the friggin giants have to do with anything, or bon jovi for that matter?

I gotta say sumkindagod, I kind of disagree here. True, it's not all of them, but it is about 98% of them. I wish I was exaggerating but unfortunately I'm not.
I like to think of myself as a nice person.....when I talk to girls, I don't just drool and try to get them in the sack like other guys (idiots) do. I treat them with the utmost respect. But every time, I never get that same respect in return. It seems like around here girls carry that "bitch and proud" badge of honor with them everywhere they go and only converse with guys who are obviously trying to take advantage of them. I see this happen whenever I go to bars and I can't help it to just sit back and laugh to myself about how pathetic it is. I might not have everything, but I work hard and I'm damn proud of what I do have.
There was a time when I sat back and thought about what I might be doing wrong, but then I went out, looked around and saw what was going on around me, and knew that it wasn't me....it was the "Jersey girls" who think they can treat people however they want and get away with it. It doesn't matter where you go.....whether it's a college bar or an upscale bar, it's all pretty much the same thing.
I was standing outside a restaurant once smoking a cigarette, and some girl was out there talking to her friend about some guy she had just met. It caught my attention because she didn't say anything about the dudes personality or anything like that......instead she just kept going on and on about his nice car, his good job, the way he dresses, etc. I felt like walking up to her and saying something, but out of respect for the people I was with, I left it alone. I know one person doesn't speak for everybody, but almost every female I've ever come in contact with has this same mindset....they won't even give you a second look if you don't make a certain amount of money, drive a certain kind of car, or listen to a certain kind of music. So, does that mean I have to be alone for the rest of my life just because I prefer 80s hard rock instead of rap and dance music? Or because on weekends I prefer to go out wearing jeans and a T-Shirt instead of dress pants and a button-up shirt? If that's the case, and it looks like it is, then society is doomed.
And another note to you "Jersey girls" out there, don't sit back and wait for men to come up to you if you want to be respected....you're not the prize piece that you think you are....so don't let your ego get to your head. In other places, if a female sees a guy they have some interest in, they'll actually get up, walk over to them, introduce themselves, and start a nice conversation. Wow...what a concept!

LOL! The sad truth is that Axl Van Pearcy, is for the most part correct, about his assessment of "Jersey Girls". As someone who has moved out of the area, living in other states for awhile, I met women who had less then 1/4 of the negative attributes that "Jersey Girls" have. It was refreshing not to receive a bitchy attitude for just merely breathing the same air as them in the bar. I was lucky enough to end up in a great relationship with a girl from WA. I've dated my fair share of NY/NJ women in the past, and I would never consider having any more to do with women in the Metropolitan area (NY, NJ, CT). While the whole "Jersey Girl" stereotype may not be 100% applicable to strictly just NJ women, it certainly covers the vast majority of the types of women in the north-east metropolitan sector. With that being said, I think we equally need to take a good look at how the guys from the area act as well. After all, like attracts like, and we all know what "Jersey Girls" like lol. As for why NY / NJ people stand out like sore thumbs when vacationing in other parts of the country, that's a no brainer. Only around here will you find everyday douchebags who rival the narcism, arrogance, and general ill manners of Hollywood celebrities - and tend to import those negative traits everywhere they travel (and thank God it's mostly between NYC & the Jersey Shore) there by making jack asses of the entire north-eastern populous - hence why the stereotypes exist in the first place.

if by jersey girl you mean trashy, too much make up, drinks constantly and has very little to talk about other then the latest reality show on vh1, I could do without them
But if by jersey girl you mean a girl thats down to earth, one of the guys, would rather drink at a bar and play some pool then drink overpriced drinks at an overpriced club, then Im all for em. =]

I have to say that I am very pissed that so many of you think of us Jersey Girls as bitches. EVERY woman possess that little trait no matter what state you are from. Those that use it most on a day to day basis were probably raised that way. I've been to plenty of other states and NEVER once was I labeled your typical Jersey Girl.....................It all depends on how your mama raised you!!

I have to say Axl Van Pearcy, it sounds like you're a little bitter. You can't put all girls from Jersey in the same category. Not all Jersey girls are rude, money hungry, spoiled people. You find those girls anywhere, not just in Jersey. I for one am not one who goes after people with money. Hell, I'm usually the one supporting my boyfriends. You say you heard a girl talking about a guy she met and never mentioned his personality only the material things. Unfortunately there are people like that out there, but there are girls everywhere who are like that. I'm from Jersey and have lived here my entire life. I have to say I know how to have a good time, I have a huge heart, I'm respectful, can support myself, don't go after guys for their money, I'm confident, love to go out with the guys, drink beer and watch football. I'm a good girl and I'm proud to be from Jersey. Did you ever think that maybe it's the New Yorkers that move to Jersey who are the rude, self-centered, spoiled ones? Afterall, our state is filled with them now. So, before you put us all in the same category, open your eyes and know what you're talking about.

True, but the ratio of girls like that from around here far exceeds the ratio of girls like that anywhere else. Go virtually anywhere else in the country and you'll see what I mean.

I'm from New York, and no, once you get away from the city, you'll find more and more girls who know how to treat people.

Oh, but I do know what I'm talking about. Maybe you need to get outside of the house and see what's really going on around here.

Axl Van Pearcy sounds like a Genius. I would explain more but I am getting ready to go to the bar and stand in front of him to strike out with some trashy chicks cause I'm a bitch who couldn't get laid in a women's prison with a handful of pardons. The end
Fixed it for ya, skippy

Axl Van Pearcy maybe you are gay and you havent come out of the closet yet? Like i said life is what you make out of it and excuses are for losers not winners. I think the whole "Jersey Girl" Btch thing. is an excuse. Maybe your Hating women so you have an excuse to start fooling around with men (or little boys).

I have lived in Jersey my entire life. I don't know where you're getting your stereotypes but it looks like it's from the Jersey shore or places like that. Yes, I live in a very rich county, but I don't have money and money does not matter to me. I don't care about money or what kind of job you have or what kind of car you drive. I listen to all kinds of music. Yes, sometimes I prefer a guy who dresses "preppy," but looks are not everything. You could be drop dead gorgeous but not have a personality at all. If you have a great personality, don't dress like a slob or have small arms, then I'm down for it. Everyone has a type and yes Jersey does think they're better than everyone else. I hate people who think they are better than me and wouldn't give me the time of day. But instead of looking for the same people over and over again, try for something else. Trust me, I've seen, met and known my share of people who are stuck up snobs and care about nothing more than fashion and money and looks when I go out to the Jersey Shore. I also go to a very rich private school where every other girl I see owns some kind of designer purse, sunglasses or shoes. Thank god I'm not like that. I am the most laid back, down to earth, and easy going girl. I don't demand exspensive things or for you to waste all your money on me. SO do not assume we are all the same and think about the areas you are going to because ANYWHERE on the Jersey shore you will meet girls like that.
