The typical sterotype - don't like them.

Cause I'm a "jersey girl".  Born here, grew up here... but I'm not a "typical" jersey girl. We got a bad rep somewhere down the line.... So its not fair to assume that when a girl says she's from jersey, that she's gonna be a total bitch.

Love em'..... the confident ones, not the spoiled little bitches. I was raised in Bergen/ Hudson county, where all the true Jersey girls came from (unfortunately, not any more...unless you know spanish). Once you've been with a true, confident, strong, and sexy girl from Jersey, your standards from that point will be hard to beat.

I'm a Jersey Girl, who went to college out of state.  All I heard for 4 years was "wow your a 'Joisey' Girl..where is your big hair and your guido boyfriend, do you spend weekends at the 'shoowa', how many springsteen/BonJovi cds do you own? and other stupid questions.  Really most "jersey girls" don't fit that stereotype.  To me a Jersey Girl is strong, independent, fun loving, a little spoiled in that she knows what she wants...and gets it.  Yes we love the beach, but coming from Jersey who doesn't, and yes we know how to party, but hey its all in good fun.  Its time we set the record straight, not all from Jersey are superficial snobs with big nails and bad hair.  If you open your eyes and look in the right place you just may find that the girl of your dreams is a JERSEY GIRL Shocked)

Actually...If you read that right...I didn't say "hate"... and you'd notice that i "don't like" the STEREOTYPE of what people consider a typical jersey girl... I don't dislike myself at all. I just said I'm not the typical.  I dont like Bon Jovi... I call it the beach, not the showa, i don't have a guido BF or big hair...(all of which are the stereotype, just as Princesscorndog said above).

So before you're rude, next time, make you understand what you've read.

Princess, you gotta understand that most of the US is behind us like 10 years or so and think that we are all still living the styles that were big round here in the 80s. I hate that "Joisey" and "Showa" shit too ... that is the invention of some fucks in Hollywood who confused us with some fucks from Long Island.

As far as the Jersey Girls thing goes, you know I love them. I am not down with the Stereotype neither but I look at it like this, would you rather be looked at as some chick who takes care of herself spending her summers at Down the Shore knowing all the words to "Living on a Prayer" by heart ... or you know ... some Trailer Park Prom Queen in Kentucky covering family Meth Lab in expired issused of Auto Trader cause company is coming over, GIT ER DUN!

I make myself laugh sometimes.

"The Jersey girl..a love of an unpretentious good time and a certain sense of style. Jersey girls are about attitude. They're about eating pizza, drinking beer, having great hair - and enjoying it all..She's got a mouth on her. She says what she means. And she's got a nice, cheerful laugh..Bottom line, all of them are sexy as hell." -The Star Ledger

yeah, id say that about sums me up.  Grin

does having a potty mouth also go with being a Jersey girl?  I can make a few sailors blush with my mouth!  LOL.  I think anyone from jersey is great.  I love being a Jersey girl and I plan on infecting the rest of the world with my way of being.   Tongue

I dont get the whole Jersey girl concept.  If its meant towards chicks with big hair and accents.. hey,  there in Brooklyn too.  I lived in brklyn for years,. there in LI.. and SI..  their everywhere! I don't think it's fair to that whole spoiled bitchy things to just Jersey girls alone. Matter of fact all my Jersey girlfriends are NOT like that..however I can say some of my friends in Brklyn are..

I like most Jersey girls. There are a few exceptions, I can't see myself talking to any chick in my area.
