Shocker!

So, I am sure most of you have heard that the NJ state government has shut down. Only essential things are running. Just wanted to throw it out there and see what everyone thought.

I think we should shut down more of the government starting with the governor and working our way down till we find someone who actually works and isn't corrupt.  I just think it sucks that he gets to decide what branches and offices are "essential" since I'm sure his list is different than the average New Jerseyians.  Like the parks are closed after Wednesday yet the state troopers will still be busting balls on 80 and 287.  I'd rather have access to the parks than worry about getting ticketed.

I work at the Lake House which used to be Parkhilll's and our fucking liquor license is sitting on someone's desk in Trenton...As long as the corrupt politicians get paid that's all that counts...no one gives a shit about middle class America...I guess they finally realized they can no longer steal the money that they need and want to tax us even more...it's only a matter of time before Corzine has a dick in his mouth and ass....gotta love NJ

Not to sound cliché to use the term so prevalent now a days but, “I didn’t vote for him”. I knew Corzine was going to be an asshole on thing, after-all the man was a millionaire as well as a ruthless Investment banker. A friend of mine who in that line of work has a co-worker who at one pointed worked with Corzine and said "Nice guy, but I don’t trust him" when speaking about him.

He did all this stuff to Bully the state into getting his way and hell, if that means 45,ooo people aren't going to work till further notice, 1.3 Million a day in revenue from Casinos for Seniors and the Disabled is going to be lost, and 35,ooo other workers are being forced to work their 12 hours shifts without pay ... than so be it, cause after all we fucked ourselves in those election booths.

"... Like the parks are closed after Wednesday yet the state troopers will still be busting balls on 80 and 287 ..."

They would never cut down on the number of state troopers for the fact that "Moving Violations" "DWI offences" and "Arrests" represent a huge income of revenue to the state, simply put, public parks dont make money for them ... but you getting locked up over the weekend fine and surcharged for the next 5 years does.

First off, I just wana say that this is what happens when we make the mistake of putting the rich in power. There are several other things that the government of NJ can do to solve their budjet problems like the lottery, that in it self would pay it off quicker then commiting to actions that will push people (residence, and tourists) out of this state. It is not helping, and I'm sure that rich Mr. Corzine could care less about the little people. Shutting all the national parks, beaches THE BOARDWALK FOR GOD SAKES, not to mention the casinos and all the areas of this state that truely show off it's beauty. I think it is just plain wrong, but I also have to say that he is the first of a long line of Governers that is acctually makeing an effort to help this state too, I just think he should use different methods.

Yeah, legalize pot and tax it sounds good. Shutting down the casinos is just silly. That is probably one of the major sources of revenue for the state. Same with the lottery.

Ah, this is all bullshit pure and simple, Corzine wants to be some memorable governor who solved a problem that didnt really matter in the first place ... and apparently is not against Bullying everyone else to get to that end.

Corzine wants a Balanced budge, so fuck everyones job and the couple things that make people want to visit our Industrialized State. The Budget hasnt been Balanced in god knows how long, but has it ever effected anyone?

Christ, the guy is just an asshole who envisions himself greater than we do. Instead of making moves to deal with the excessively high Murder Rate In Camden (number one in the nation, "Murder Capital of the US" ) The push for more usage of Nuclear Power ( Jersey being the nations top supplier Salam Nj.) And a decrease in State Spending (do they really need to work on route 46, every day for the past 15 years? ) This jerk off wants to deal with an Alarmist Fear of a balanced budget, a fear that went out with the Gold Standard 70 some odd years ago.

Fuck him, I didn't vote for him and would be kicking myself if I did.

As far as pushing for a Legalization of Weed, thats out of the question. I mean I suppose it would have its benefits however I always bring up this example to retort the "Taxed" answer. If the state or nation was to legalize Pot, that would either put dealers out of work or more so cause them to instead peddle other ... more lethal drugs on our streets to keep there business. AKA, Heroin, Coke, Crack, etc.

Think I am wrong? Look back to the end of Prohibition, once Alcohol was once again legal people who turned a profit dealing speak easies turned there attention to other illegal forms of income, namely, Pot and Heroin. This intern caused them to grow stronger and richer than Alcohol ever made them and is often looked at as the Birth of The Mafia care of Al Capone.

If you legalize weed or any other drug the cops, DEA, and politicians would have no jobs.  The politricians are the ones allowing it in.  Do you know how easy it is to stop the drug traffic form getting in to our borders?!

It is no where at all easy to stop drugs from entering the country. (take this from someone who works the ports for one) There are too many ways in... But at the same time I can't believe that ass got his 7%. I mean how can he say that it is going to goto the homeowner tax relief? If thats the case what's the point of it even going up to 7%? I kow it is more detail than that but the way it sound is he is promising more bullshit

having 6% sales tax used to be one of the good things about living in jersey, not so much anymore. And I bet property taxes won't go down one bit, its probably just a gimmick to not piss too many people off. and yes I voted for that bastard too.. and I won't again
