Well, lets face it, every year we all get older. Do you feel yourselves going out more or less as you get older?

I'll only be 25 on July 6th, but I notice myself wanting to go out more....I'm not sure if it's healthy, but hey whatever, you only live once enjoy it!

Well, I notice myself going out less ... much less. That, however, has to do with the fact that I now have a 9-5 ( or 7am to 330 ) job that I have to report to each weekday. I pretty much did a 180 from going out and partying nearly every night ( I was basicly on a bender through out 2004, all of my pervious jobs were afternoons to about 10 or 11 pm ) to being in bed by around 1130/12 oclock, the times that normally bars and clubs start to get going.
I mean, I still go out and tear it up on Friday & Saturday nights, but once Sunday afternoon rolls around I gotta cut it to get back into the routine ... yeah, it kinda sucks.

That has become my life as well. College - my going out schedule was Tuesday-Saturday - with rest and/or homework/papers etc. reserved for Sun & Mon (mainly cause the bars sucked on this nights) - but now the real world has set in and I'm lucky if I go out 1 night on the weekends - and that night usually being Saturday night cause I'm exhausted Friday night. I'd LOVE to go out more - but the idea comes and goes before I even have time to act on it.

Yeah dude, I literally had a routine of bars I would hit each night.
Monday was Celebrities in Haldon
Tuesday Casey O'Tools in Wayne for $5 [ now $7 dollar ] pitchers and beer pong,
Wednesday was Ringside in West Caldwell
Thursday was a switch/and/swap of either Joey’s[Clifton]/Jimmy’s Haunt [Morristown]/The Attic [Roselle Park] or any bar offering a college night
Friday was Pub 46/The Shore/Hoboken
Saturday was attempting to find a local BBQ or house party
Sunday was "The day of rest" but wasn’t without "Hooters" of Paramas or Wayne or the Sport Sexy of Wayne to take in the days sporting events.
I would also spice it up every once in a while with the occasional Strip Club. Hitching Post [Paterson Passaic border], T&A’s [Nyack NY] (shut down for dishing out handjobs in the backroom) and “Temptations” [Passaic] [ aka Uncle Rickys. Another fine establishment under problems for back room handjobs however it is owned by Clifton Cops so instead they just watch you more better. ]
I miss those days, almost as much as I miss all the money that I spent on those days.
PS. I have been drinking

Yeah dude, the shore is definitely the place to drink over the summer, a little pricey but you know thats expected. Me and you are pretty much in the same boat, I wasnt allowed to drink down the shore until recently.
See, I lost my wallet shortly after my 21st birthday and when the DMV replaced my license at the bottom they put "DUP" for Duplicate. I didn’t even notice it till I went down the shore, there i was stopped and ID'd by a summer rent-a-cop who wouldn’t let me into the bar, because my license was a DUP. I asked the cop what I had to do and he told me to get an Alcohol Consumption License which i was never able to locate, I just had my licence renewed this month ... so now i can legally drink at the shore.

I just hit the big 2 6 yesterday but since about last year i'd have to say i'm more prone to going out but i dont drink anymore. I havent gone out with the intention to drink in probably about 14 months or so... one day I just kinda woke up and said "I don't ever wanna drink anymore" and I havent (maybe it was because the last hangover I had I was dry heaving for 4 hours or better). I'll have one beer or one jagerbomb or a shot of something every now and then but more than 2 drinks is weird for me now... I actually had to buy myself a birthday shot last night because everybody knows I don't drink

well happy bday...i know this may sound stupid..but i'm 23 and i feel old!! i dont know why either..... i actually have been goin out less...and if i go out i'm finding myself at quieter places...as for drinking...its definitely not like the college days..but then when i look back i had a lot of fun but i feel like it was a lot of wasted time....some experiences cannot be remembered lol.... which brings me to a funny point some of my best guy friends are in a fraternity...most have graduated and stuff like that but they always try and help the other chapters with moneys and stuff like that ...so a few months we all go to an end-of-the-year party just because alumnus still like to show their support....and omg!!! we stayed for a very short time but we all left depressed..lol like the real world just slapped up in our faces damn did it feel weird

hehe thanks
. 23 isnt old trust me. I still feel like i'm 19 at 26 so in some ways it doesnt really bother me (yet). If i go out lately its for karaoke and just hanging out with the friends ive made at said places. I never had college days but I sure had my fair share between 23 and 24. Once I hit 25 it was all over. I always remembered a lot of stuff but some of it i wish i didnt LoL. So what are you doing in the "real world"? Are you happy with where you've gotten since college?

Well I'm twenty-eight, I work shift-work, and the party days are long over... since I was twenty-three. When you work in a power plant, around dangerous high-voltage equpiment, you can't be hung over. You have to have your senses about you. And then there's the random drug tests, which include screening for alcohol. It's not like I wear a suit and tie, and I can go to work and sleep it off. I might get fired, and I can't just cash in the stock options and run... or mooch off of my parents. In otherwords, my career comes first.
