Drink in moderation. You can't go out every night and drink 10 beers. You can't consume 10 drinks.

It's either one or the other. You either wanna be healthy or get drunk, you can't choose both.

And looking fit is not the same as being fit. Light beers are better than drinking full brewed beers. but it's still not great to drink alot. 1 or 2 is fine, but not every night.

I drink once a week at most, but it's usually 2 beers at max on the weekends. Otherswise, I run a few miles a night and train 2-3 hours a day.

Summer time is a llittle rough to stay in shape, with all the partying going on. Good luck.

1 gram of alcohol contains 7 calories. Those are empty calories with no beneficiall nutritional value to it. Altering your diet so you can afford those calories would most likley be the best way to stay fit & drink.

Just cause someone looks like they are in shape doesn't mean they are healthy. Granted there are short cuts to looking healthy but real health starts from the inside of your body & represents it'self on the way out. I know it's a cliche but, you are what you eat.

Drinking in moderation is key!!  Also exercise and a good diet will balance you out and allow you to be able to afford to drink up those empty calories.  drinking light beer isn't going to be better for you if you are looking to catch a good buzz however.  The alcohol content of a light beer is lower than a full brew.  (this does not include brews like Bass, Guinness and other insanely think beers like that. they are full of empty calories).  Drinking light beer just makes you have to drink more for the same effect (if a buzz is what your drinking for).  Shots are less filling and are only a concentrated does of calories so they are not your answer to drinking and staying fit.  have a Bacardi and diet or wine if you are watching looking to drink and stay fit, less sugar and carbs.  One huge thing you can do for yourself to stay fit while partying is to not eat all the shit we do when we are drunk!!  eating at the end of your night before you go to sleep will really kill you!! drink some water and fill yourself up and trick yourself to think your full.

damn I could of swore I posted again to this. Anyway, yeah there is a big difference. I think working out is only 30% and eating right is 70%

Guinness is only 125 calories per 12 ounces.  Budweiser is 145 calories per 12 ounces.

The whole "Guinness is fattening" concept is just a myth.  What makes Guinness taste thick is the fact its nitrogenated, which makes the beer "frothy".  You have a lot of tiny gas bubbles in the beer that make it taste thick and creamy.  The fact it contains less CO2 than other beers also makes Guinness easier on your stomach as it is less acidic.

Lol so now the real question is, which beer will give you the best buzz with the least amount of calories?

That's easy, Jack Danials straight from the bottle ... you polish off enough of that you'll find yourself 'fighting drunk' and ready to burn off all those excess calories.

After I lost my license I was walking to work 2 miles everyday (where i was working at a truck loading station), the doctor commented that for being a smoker and heavy drinker my heart and lungs and all that mess was still in pretty good shape. But now that I got my license back, I should probably try to replace the exercise I am missing.

vodka soda!  not vodka tonic though...the quinine in tonic water has a surprising amount of calories.

general rule of thumb: the clearer the alcohol, the less calories.  darker alcohol such as whiskey or rum have more sugar, and therefore more calories.

of course, all this info is useless, cause when you're drinking you usually want what you want, damn the calories.

Well...what I do is I first of all dont drink beer...second of all I drink Bacardi and Diet. Now dont get me wrong you can drink beer in moderation and stay in shape...but thats why its called a beer belly. you drink and sit around, youre gonna gain weight and fast. I take this class...a CORE class EVERY day for an hour and ive lost about 5 lbs in 3 weeks...so drinking is easier when you eat right, work out HARD and do it in moderation.

I walk, on average, one to two miles a day, I keep up with nutritional suppliments, and I'm also on a modified Atkins diet. All of that helps, and I don't live on alcohol.

Don't know how many girls are on this board, but here's a tip from a girl who loves to drink...  Carmen Electra's Strip-Aerobic dvds are a great way to keep in shape and learn some good moves for when you're out on those late nights... Wink

Other than that, I walk six miles a day and I do rollerskate comps. and skateboarding for fun.

If you're gonna keep fit, you have to do something you're gonna enjoy, otherwise, you won't stick with it...
